We are a training facility passionate about getting RESULTS! We provide personal training services, mostly in a semi-private model as this has been proven to be the most effective model of training. We are a certified Functional Movement Systems Expert, the only other training center in Lancaster to have this amazing new movement assessment! ( Learn more on our Personal Training Page). You will not use machines here at emPower, as research show that best results are achieved by using functional, full body movements! At emPower you'll train a minimum of two days per week , again, because we want you to GET AMAZING RESULTS! We strive to be the best part of our people's day, everyday.

MEET OUR TRAINERS

Angela Myers is certified through the American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.), one of the most widely recognized and highly respected organizations in the fitness industry (acefitness.org). She currently holds two certifications, one as a Personal Trainer and the other as a Group Fitness Instructor. She has experience in assisting her clients to achieve success through her work at the YMCA and New Holland Recreational Center as well as independent clients, and most recently with emPower Training Systems. Angela has a B.A. in Social Work, which has equipped her with the skills needed to be attentive to her clients and help them build a plan to success based on their individual needs and goals. She is committed to her own fitness goals through strength training and competitive running/racing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Josh March has a B.A. in Exercise Science from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently pursuing a Master's of Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Josh holds an AFAA Primary Group Exercise Instructor certification and is a certified Les Mills BodyPump instructor. After working as a trainer, group exercise instructor, Physical Education Teacher, and Youth and Sports Director in various locations he served as General Manager of a commercial fitness center in Harrisburg, PA for four years and most recently served as the Fitness Center Coordinator for a corporate fitness center in Lancaster. Josh has trained everyone from first time exercisers to elite athletes. In addition to his experience in the fitness industry, Josh is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force/PA Air National Guard as a member of the 193rd Special Operations Wing in Middletown, PA. Josh loves working with people to help them reach their goals and always looks for new ways to challenge them!

 

 

Valerie Rohrer has been involved with the fitness industry for over seven years. She had struggled with obesity for much of her life and tried many diets and weight loss plans before she finally made a total commitment to make fitness a focal point in her life and change her eating habits. She is a certified Les Mills Bodypump instructor as well as a certified spin instructor through both NETA and AAAI. She is highly motivational and enthusiastic and remains committed to her personal goals through strength training, bicycling, running, and other outdoor sports. She is also certified as a personal trainer through AAAI.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jeremy Nesmith is a certified personal trainer through AAAI, and a certified group fitness instructor, known for his challenging boot camp workouts! He is passionate about working with people to obtain wholesome, life-long diet and lifestyle changes that will change them from inside out! He has much experience and success in coaching overweight and/or obese persons through these lifestyle changes as he has coached persons through numerous weight loss competitions.

 

 

Rich Mowrer  is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as well as a Physical Therapist Assistand through the American Physical Therapy Association.  Rich specializes in writing programs for athletes!   Whether you want to improve your golf game or are a high school student priming to play at an elite level of sport, Rich will ensure your program develops the power, stamina, speed, and agility needed to get you there. Any strength and conditioning coach can make you sore, but can they make you better?  RIch's vast knowledge of the human body through his work as a PTA for the last 15 years enables him to target specific weaknesses or muscle imbalances that may be hindering your progress as an athlete.

 

 

Steph Lyons is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Personal Trainer, and obtained a B.A. from Millersville University in Communications. Her background as a lifetime athlete involved in soccer, swimming, field hockey, and track inspired her to approach the wellness industry to use her experiences to help change others' lives.  Through training private clients and her experience as a trainer at the YMCA, Steph worked with clients ranging in age from young teenagers to retirees who had varying levels of exercise experience-from novice exerciser to competitive athlete.  Steph is not only devoted to improving the fitness of her clients, but also to her own fitness through resistance training and has recently become involved in competitive adventure running races.
