Strike Out Heart Disease and Stroke
Hello Everyone –
As many of you know, Angie and I have recently joined the American Heart Association’s board
for the Lancaster area. As such we are presented with many ways to contribute to their great
cause. Once in a while, we are presented with an opportunity that is good for our clients and
employees, good for business and good for the health of the community. On Monday, June 13th
a team of emPower Training Systems clients and employees will be attending a Lancaster
Barnstormers Game that benefits the 2016 Lancaster Heart Walk. Supporting this event and the
American Heart Association | American Stroke Association is a win-win opportunity.
Heart disease is the nation’s number one killer of both men and women, taking more lives each
year than all cancers combined. In the U.S. a person dies from heart disease every 34 seconds.
Stroke is the nation’s number five killer, and number one cause of long-term disability.
We ask you to join us on June 13th in striking out heart diseases and stroke. You can purchase
tickets with cash by getting in contact with me directly, or online with a credit card on the
Barnstormers website. $4 of every ticket sold will be donated back to the 2016 Lancaster Heart
Walk. emPower would like to purchase a block of tickets so that we can all hang out together!
Be sure to wear your emPower shirts to the game and we make an additional donation to the
AHA! So if you are interested in being a part of our block, please RSVP to me by May 27th
([email protected])
If you want to take your commitment even further, you have the opportunity to commit to raising
$3,000 for the American Heart Association through the Lancaster Heart Walk’s Executive
Challenge. There will be an exclusive kick-off event held the night of the Barnstormers Event in
the Wheatland Suite (behind home plate). Every individual who commits to working with the
local AHA staff to raise $3,000 for the upcoming Walk in September will be invited to attend –
And bring a friend! There will be free admission to watch the game from the Wheatland Suite,
hors d'oeuvres, networking, and a brief introduction to participation in the challenge.
I would greatly appreciate your participation and/or contribution to this worthy event.
Thank you in advance for your support. Please feel free to contact Amber Liptack at the
American Heart Association, (717) 207-4221 or [email protected], with any questions
you may have.
Thank you!
